Whatever money is paid up front to Bluegreen Property is a total loss to the buyer and therefore a total scam. I paid $17,975 for deeds that give me 10000 points a year IF I pay the yearly Maintenance fee. The maintenace fee is NOW $909 per year. The first year maintenace fee when I signed up in 2005 was only $474. It entitles me to one red week (for example Harbor Lights in Myrtle beach) To all Bluegreen Owners who have been lied too/mislead -file complains with the Attorney Generals office in the state you made your purchase and the state they deeded you property too, and also to the BBB, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Federal Trade Commission - to both the states----where you made your purchase and where they deeded you property. They promised us the same crap and we are stuck, Worst part is they also talked us into upgrading - told us that the points we already bought were worthless unless we added to them. It's a total misrepresentation of the product. A lot of lies and verbal promises, to many to list here. But what I see here is that there are a lot of victims here. I have been a member of Bluegreen since 2001. First owning 8,000 points ever other year and then upgraded to 8,000 every year in 2005. My first year not knowing how to use it I lost my points. But now I feel educated enough to know how to use it. I would to get together with anyone else who is experiencing or has experienced poor business services from Blue Green Corporation. It seems once they get your money, customer service goes down hill AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP PAYING THEIR MAINTENANCE FEES and not actually have any vacation to show for it. We bought the deed to this property about 2 years ago and have NEVER been able to have even a 3 day vacation or anything, we can never get any where with them and every time we call them THEY NEVER RETURN OUR CALLS I went through the same thing with BlueGreen and Orange Lake in Orlando. I bought the Orange Lake property first and was not happy, but they refused to buy it back unless I owed less than $5,000 on it. For all of you like myself who bought a timeshare from Bluegreen and was told that they would buy it back if you were unhappy and now you find that what they told you was a lie, I have found a lawyer willing to file a class action suite against Bluegreen. Â I was a 2 fixed week owner that was convinced to convert to points. The main reason I converted was the option given as a silver club member to apply my left over points toward paying my maintenance fees each year. I intentually reserve most of my points for this use each year. I paid for 24,000 points each year. |
