I don't know what SHELL VACATIONS CLUB is thinking! Interval International has almost no resorts for extra getaways, no last calls, like RCI used too. I was so happy with RCI and Shell Vacations Club didn't even give us the choice to keep them, they just decided it was the best thing AGAIN for them so they went ahead and made the switch. I just wasted 2 hours of my time today (between holds on music and talking to polite representatives), trying to figure out what weeks I had deposited in II since the Starwood desk customer service representative at II told me that he could not see what weeks I had deposited in their system. I made a trade from Starwood to interval, paid the fee to Starwood and negotiated a swap of my 1 bedroom Maui property for a 2 bedroom Orlando property. I was told that was accepted only to find out that Starwood threw in my studio that had been divided earlier in the year as well and am now without recorse after the interval agent made the mistake. After owning Cyprus Harbor in Orlando, a Marriot Resort where the living room is 20+ x 20+ and the kitchen area was very large with granit tops and and island to prepare food, this place in comparison was a huge disappointment. I exchanged into the Westgate Resort of Gatlinburg, Tenn, thinking that the Westgate name had very high standards. After staying here for one week, I was able to ascertain that to the resorts owner, profit and lowering overhead was the priority and not hospitality to it's guests. Before elaborating, it is important to know that the resort was only half full during the last week in August. Watch out! their email with your confirmation information-which if you don't want you only have 24 hrs to respond to-only is headed/from: CUSTOMER SERVICE nothing says it is from Interval. I had no luck calling 3 days later... Swapped out a timeshare from Marriott thru Interval for another Marriott timeshare. Found out all the amenities, restaurants and so forth Interval promised were non-existent. I have had more problems with this company than I can remember. However, my latest problem involved trying to use my 2010 week that I had banked. I was under the false impression that I could use it in 2011 at any resort in my Interval International book. However, no one told me that I have to bank with the resort and with interval international if I want to use my week anywhere other than my resort. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL TIME SHARE COMPANY! My friend & I recently booked a trip through his time-share, Interval International, to go to the Costa Maya Reef Resort in Belize, Central America scheduled for 8/18-8/25/07. We booked this trip over the phone & gave the company representative our credit card information for charging the trip. The night before we were scheduled to leave, we attempted to contact the resort to ensure they were still accepting guests. |
