I have been trying to book my timeshare for months now. After many e-mails and contacting I.I. I finally got in touch with the new company which is Bel Air. I talked to someone on the phone and they assured me that I could have my week at my timeshare which is in the Romantic zone.

My husband and I purchased a triple lock off unit which was presented as the newest type of 2bd to be built at the Grand in Nuevo Vallarta and future locations. First years use at the Grand was suposed to be in 2008. 2008-Visited the Grand to see for myself if the units had been built. We were lied to by the sales manager Candy, who said there were such units but all were occupied. We then met with Mr. Triggs VP Marketing who admitted that the units were not built at the Grand and the resort had no future plans to build the triple lock off units. They had a few of them at the Cabo resort but shortly thereafter that resort was closed. He referred us to Mr. Edgar Peniche in the Finance Dept for a refund and cancellation of our contract. In early 2009 Mr. Peniche agreed via e-mail to refund $16,000 USD which was acceptable to us. However, when we asked about additional compensation for the two US timeshares that we traded in as equity and no longer owned, his reponse was that all deals were now off the table.

We are presently at the grand. Upon check in the concierge followed us like a vulture to reception. We told her several times we did not want to go to a time share meeting. She told us the meeting was to inform us of the changes. Basically she was lying.

Put in request for assignment number so as to trade with II. No response after 3 days so called resort. Spoke to Mike who said he'd take care of it and I'd get a number that evening. Nothing happened.

I bought a timeshare in 2003 from Playa Del Sol under fraudulent sales practices--lies, lies, lies! Believe nothing they say if you are considering a purchase from them. I could go on and on ...

We have been trying to get our money back from Playa Del Sol Grand for more than a year. We went through the Profeco and came to an agreement with the Playa Del Sol Grand attorney to pay us $5000 plus interest. They have yet to pay us and would rather pay the fines to the Profeco than to be honest in their legal agreements.

In March of 2006 we purchased a timeshare at Playa Del Sol, Los Cabos. We were told we could post our weeks and make $1,000/week, or resell the deeded unit at any time and make money.

I have been trying to get a full refund for a purchase I made in January 2008 based on a host of lies and more.

Buyer Beware. Playa Del Sol Group sales people are good - very, very good.

My wife and I were conned into purchasing a "fractional Ownership" at Playa Del Sol Grand. I'm sure we all remember the elementary school formula (100% of nothing is still nothing) - that's exactly what you get from Playa Del Sol. We were fortunate enough to use our 1 bedroom every other year with a bonus week in November 2006. We had an absolutely wonderful time.
