I got screwed by Dirk Meyer when he sold my timeshare at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. He is dishonest and has absolutely no integrity. Same thing happened to us, only when they sent us the forms they included one week not four like we agreed to.....scammed But we still liked resort when we go. I purchased this timeshare for a one week annual and paid all in cash. I specifically asked if there is anything to pay for other than this initial outlay of cash to purchase...the sales man advised only the purchase of your own airfare. They failed to advise me of the annual fee and that it increases each year. I'd love to surrender this time share or sell it... Lies, lies, lies.... Husband & I purchased a 1 week, bi annual jr suite along with 4 Bonus Weeks per year. Bonus Weeks were promised at these prices @ any affiliated resort in Mexico & US: Per night...$50 for Jr Suite, $75 for 1 Bdrm, $100 for 2 Bdrm. "Pressured" into buying a Timeshare at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort and Spa. My husband and I were on vacation in Cabo San Lucas for our anniversary. We attended a timeshare presentation and we were subjected to a high pressure, and very convincing presentation, by a salesman called COREY LOWE. We felt manipulated in believing that we were making a great financial investment even after we expressed to Mr. Lowe that we already had a Timeshare and we were in no position financially to purchase another Timeshare. My husband and I just purchased our timeshare at Pueblo Bonito last October. We tried to book our timeshare for this year for October and was told they are completely booked for the entire year. They told me I could go through RCI, but why would I want to do that. I would not be guaranteed my Exec. suite or a king bed and I would also have to pay an additional $167.00 to book it. By: Anonymous I was able to utilize the letters that were posted on the T.O.C. website that indicated a similar issue with the same resort. It seems that they will eventually give in after several attempts. Elise and I were “suckered” into buying a timeshare at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort and Spa. In hindsight we were very lucky that we waited until Wednesday to go to the timeshare presentation. The Saturday after returning to our home in Austin I contacted the resort customer service manager in an attempt to get out of our timeshare. I began researching ways in which to cancel a timeshare contract. I found the MESCAM website and learned that under Mexican law, if you buy a timeshare you have an un-waiveable right to cancel your contract for no reason within 5 business days. Thankfully my contacting the resort fell within those 5 days. John from MESCAM says that you may also be able to get out of your contract if the 5 days is up. This complaint has been removed due settlement I just got a bill from the resort stating that I owe $9000.00 for back maintenance fees. They say said that I was paying fees for a smaller unit that what I owned. I told them I paid what they billed me yearly and it has gone up each year for the past 10 years. They then told me that "you were only paying for 1 week and were receiving 2 weeks so now you owe the past amount." |
