We were sold a lie- 3 hours of talk - bought what we thought was a week of use and found out 3 months later it is only points and not even enough to go back to resort we bought at!!!

My wife and I have a Grand Bliss Master Suite, and have been very satisfied with the times and rooms that we have booked through this ownership. Like so many others though we are much less happy with the whole experience of high pressure and costly presentations that we have attended. we can't be sure that the amount of investment we have made will ever be recovered.

I have 3 kids, so that means there's 5 of us. Everywhere I try an go , they dont except 5. I have not used my Wyndham vacations yet cause there always full. its been 6 months since i bought. is there anyway to get money back?

Though there are a lot of bad reviews for these timeshare companies, I would like to put a positive spin on this. My wife and I went to a Worldmark presentation(at the time they were under Trendwest). We went with no intentions of buying and ended up there for about 2 and a half hours.

it sounds to me that all wyndham owners have had the same sort of presentation where your promised the world and receive nothing.

On Christmas Eve, 2010, my husband and I attended a 90 min (try 3 hours) timeshare presentation. We told the nice young lady we weren't interested in purchasing any of the plans she presented. So, she sent in her supervisor who told us we could do a "trial" program which would give us 308,000 points which would be good for 20 months. We told him we only wanted to go to the Northeast US and Southeast Canada. He pulled out the RCI resort catalog and showed us quite a few nice looking resorts in that area. He DID NOT tell us we couldn't use the "Wyndham Discovery" points through RCI.

Wyndham collections has been calling my house for days & I just didn't answer the phone.  When I did I was surprised to be informed that I didn't send a payment since Dec 2009.

Have been a owner for 4 years now, a VIP for over 1 year. Yes I was stupid twice.Too long of a story to tell hear so I will just hit the high points of my experiance. Maintenance fee\'s up,up and up! The Point value to pay maintenance fee's is a flat joke.Point value for anything like cruises, airline tickets, etc. is an absolute RIPPOFF! There is a fee for everything I kidd you not!!! They even charge $8.00 to process any payments. Let me also tell you that VIP status "ain't squat" either. Of course I didnot find this out untill I lost my income level and got behind on my payments.

I tried to rescind my purchase to no avail I have done everything I could and still no results. I was very happy with what we had 205,000 points. I do not understand the benefit to wyndham by making me a disgruntled owner.

Any company who cannot deliver what it promises but won't give you any portion of your money back is a complete scam! It is criminal. I went to one of the presentations...it was very nice...I could not afford any of their deals, so, they of course made a special exception for me...

Went to Wyndham Shawnee in the Pocono's for a time share sale. Went through the entire sale and said no, then the end sale came and a closer, Nicole Dangelo, to make us the last offer. "Today only",she said, "You can buy our Leisureplan membership." This membership, she explained, is only $2,400 and gives you the opportunity to try out Wyndahm resorts, but, she added, there is a cancelation clause that says you can cancle at any time by simply calling an 800 number. She showed us the clause and there it was in black and white Right to cancel membership.

We recently purchased a Wyndham vacation resort package on July 1st. I wasn't aware of the timeshare scams that are out there and even after the pressure marketing tactics that the sales person used on us, I thought that it was a good deal. We bought 6000 points for $12,000 with a maintenance fee of $530 pa. After coming home, something didn't feel right the very next day and after having subsequent discussions with my wife, we decided to stick it out and felt that it was a really good plan for a hassle free vacation.  Come July 8th, I was looking for customer care number for Wyndham to book a rental car and I accidentally looked into the contract and what I saw just shocked me. It mentioned a 16.7% APR for the loan amount that we undertook. After going through the contract in detail, it also mentioned that we had been enrolled into the timeshare membership. There were other one time fees that were levied on top of the contract. We were completely shocked to see these details and that we were never told about these during our 3 hour ordeal at Wyndham office.

Fairfield resorts, (also, they go by Wyndham resorts, and so I have filed this under both names...) took our 159.00 in exchange for a 3 night stay in one of their vacation resorts in San Diego. But that is not what we got. They lied.

My husband Brian and I were invited by one of the wyndham marketers to attend a timeshare seminar in San Diego, CA and in return we would recieve free zoo tickets for our grandchildren that were visiting us. The next day my husband and I and the grandchildren headed to downtown to attend the presentation.

Overall experience: Terrible

Please, do bot get suckerd into a false promise from any timeshare company.

They keep asking for higher and higher fees. Now they're daring to add on 'Special Assessment' fees. I don't intend to pay any more money. Every time I tried to book a vacation, I was told that the week "wasn't available". Now, my funds are no longer available to them.

We made it clear during their sales pitch that we were not interested in their vacations for at five to ten years when our grandchildren would be old enough to enjoy them.

The representative told us we could accumulate points for some "super vacations" when they were old enough. I later learned that points could only be accumulated for two years, after which they were lost.

Needed: Anyone else that this has happened to.
