This scam is still going on. I had the same offer in November, 2011. Fortunately I checked before giving them my credit card information, because they are a scam. Though there are a lot of bad reviews for these timeshare companies, I would like to put a positive spin on this. My wife and I went to a Worldmark presentation(at the time they were under Trendwest). We went with no intentions of buying and ended up there for about 2 and a half hours. On the Road Again > Our 29 years of Timeshare Travels.Mr. and Mrs. Timeshare have traveled to three resorts in May. Review courtesy of vacationLovers.net Click Here To Post Your Own Review In September 2000 we did a timeshare exchange into the Marriott Kauai Beach Club resort. Kauai is our favorite island in Hawaii, and this was our third trip there. We spent a lot of time relaxing around the resort on this visit, because we had already done a lot of sightseeing on previous trips. Most of these photos here are from this trip, but some from previous trips are included so that you can see more of the beauty of Kauai. To Whom It May Concern: To be an American with a legal issue in Mexico is truly frightening. The laws are different and so are the processes. I was truly fortunate to find the law firm of Hernandez-Ojeda. Let me share three key attributes I experienced in dealing with them: Review courtesy of vacationLovers.net Click Here To Post Your Own Review We exchanged our timeshare in Palm Desert, CA (the Marriott Desert Springs) for one on Hilton Head, SC (the Marriott Grande Ocean). Our vacation was in mid-September 1999, which turned out to be not the best timing, since Hurricane Floyd (a Category 5 "storm of the century") managed to cut our vacation a few days short. But it was still a wonderful vacation before Floyd arrived, and we will definitely go back to Hilton Head again.
Review courtesy of vacationLovers.net Click Here To Post Your Own Review In early September 2002 we exchanged our Marriott Desert Springs timeshare for the new Four Seasons Club Aviara resort in Carlsbad, CA (just north of San Diego). We were pleased to get this exchange, because we had been told how nice the resort was, and how it was impossible for "non-Four Seasons" owners to exchange there. The weather was great during our visit (as it always is on our vacations, except for those that are interuppted by hurricanes). Review courtesy of vacationLovers.net Click Here To Post Your Own Review In November 2001 we did a timeshare exchange into the Royal Mayan Resort in Cancun, Mexico. We had a full two-bedroom unit at this timeshare, so we invited our "vacation buddies" Scott and Karin Cerasale to join us from Florida. The weather had us worried in the days preceding our vacation, because Hurricane Michelle was moving towards Cancun. But the storm turned eastward in the nick of time, and the rain stopped the day after we arrived. The weather was gorgeous for the rest of our stay. Review courtesy of vacationLovers.net Click Here To Post Your Own ReviewIn early November 2006 we exchanged our Marriott Desert Springs timeshare for the Marriott Ko'Olina Beach Club on the western shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The weather was great, with beautiful sunny days and temperatures around 80 degrees. We had a wonderful week of sightseeing, shopping, snorkeling, relaxing by the pool, and laying on the beach. Since you want a good report as well, I will give one. We bought a week time share for the Island Gulf Resort in Madeira Beach, FL on ebay several years ago on the Gulf of Mexico. We bought week 25 in June. We went and loved it so much that we bought a week in August as well on ebay. By: Anonymous I was able to utilize the letters that were posted on the T.O.C. website that indicated a similar issue with the same resort. It seems that they will eventually give in after several attempts. |
