Though there are a lot of bad reviews for these timeshare companies, I would like to put a positive spin on this. My wife and I went to a Worldmark presentation(at the time they were under Trendwest). We went with no intentions of buying and ended up there for about 2 and a half hours.
It, of course, was presented as the best thing you could ever buy and invest in, and afterwords we felt a bit of buyers remorse. Now I am not going to say we were scammed into buying it since in the end it was our own decision to buy and it took over two hours because my wife and I scrutinized all the text in the contract. Though they push really hard to sell you the timeshare and they work solely off commission, in the end it is up to the buyer to really understand what they are buying.
READ THE CONTRACT. Anyway, af! ter several years of using it to visit my mom in Seattle and Family scattered in California and New York, Weekend trips to Bear Lake, Midway and St. George. We couldn't be more pleased with the product we bought. It is a little tough to book the big resorts but if you watch and plan ahead it really isn't that bad. Most of the bad reviews are by people that don't really understand that what is in the contract is what is important and listen to how things are phrased by the seller. It's a lot like buying a used car, if you're not careful you'll end up driving home with something you didn't even want, or you'll pick up the best deal with something that will last you for years to come.
